The Spark of InnovationRooted in Buffalo
I proudly hail from Buffalo, New York. I have always believed that the greatest scientific minds in the world come from this region — after all, we were the first city with electricity and cheap access to power thanks to the falls. Growing up in this environment gave me a deep, enduring affinity for Nikola Tesla and his ultimate dream: creating wireless, free energy for all. That same spirit of boundless, equitable innovation is the foundation of everything I build today.
A Vision Forged in the EnterpriseTwo Decades of Transformation
For over two decades, I have dedicated my career to enterprise transformation and technical architecture. My journey through the ranks of corporate IT, working alongside several Fortune 50 companies, culminated in a pivotal moment during a C2C contract with Royal Caribbean. I was brought in as an independent contractor — operating under my newly formed entity, Illy Robotic Instruments — to lead the complex technical merger of the Celebrity and Royal Caribbean engineering teams.
In this role, I served as the chief architect of Azure Foundry and LaunchDarkly, establishing a cohesive release train strategy across all teams handling distinct areas of merged datasets and frontend booking systems. Seeing this massive investment in my expertise as an independent contractor sparked a profound foresight. I theorized that all companies would soon be actively investing in AI adoption and solutioning — a realization that came long before the title of “AI Transformation Professional” even existed.
Bridging the GapFrom Code to Culture
I am, at my core, a Full Stack AI Engineer and Cloud Solutions Architect. But technology without human alignment is just code. As a Senior Business Transformation Manager, an Organizational Change Lead, and a SAFe Scaled Agile SPC Practitioner, I have been able to fuse my deeply technical AI expertise with strong business acumen and servant leadership. This unique intersection allowed me to transform Illy Robotic Instruments from a visionary concept into a thriving small business, now boasting an active production ecosystem of products used by more than 30,000 users worldwide.
The Open PhilosophyCommunity Over Control
I firmly believe in open-source empowerment over licensed, walled-garden models. I am fundamentally a Microsoft and Google-minded architect; I value the community guidelines, the creative collaboration, and the shared knowledge those ecosystems foster, standing in stark contrast to the closed-off approach of companies like Apple. My goal is to build technology that empowers the people, focusing on digital sovereignty and financial frameworks where individuals are compensated for their digital footprint.
I am not driven by the pursuit of status or celebrity like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, or Sam Altman. I am an eccentric inventor — a visionary who prefers to stay out of the spotlight and let the work speak for itself.
When you look at our infographic comparing closed models to the Open Mesh, you might assume I identify with the mastermind orchestrating the operation. But the truth is, I am not Gru.
